At Clean Up the Lake 501(c)3, we lead both terrestrial and underwater cleanup efforts, collecting critical data to support scientific research and policy development while also running surveillance for aquatic invasive species and reporting observations on algal-blooms for future monitoring. Comprehensive assessments of completed projects are available below, offering detailed insights into our ongoing environmental impact and often providing recommendations for next steps for submerged litter management and aquatic invasive species management.
Clean Up The Lake has been performing aquatic invasive species (AIS) surveillance on all of its environmental cleanups since 2022. We are excited to say that in 2025 we will be announcing a new project and program that will advance the resources available for aquatic invasive species on a national if not global level.
Clean Up The Lake is developing a global partnership program to empower communities to launch freshwater cleanup efforts with training, resources, and support worldwide.
